Smaller Executive Board at asknet moving forward
Karlsruhe, August 06, 2015 – Ute Imhof, Executive Board member and COO, will leave asknet AG for personal reasons at the end of 2015. The Karlsruhe-based company has decided not to fill the then vacant position of COO for the time being with a view to strengthening the entrepreneurship of its middle management.
Ute Imhof will leave the company at her own request at the end of 2015. In order to ensure a smooth transition, she will fulfil her tasks as Ordinary Member of the Executive Board until December 31, 2015 and will remain available to the company as a consultant during the first quarter of 2016. Mrs Imhof, who has held several functions within the company since 2006, emphasised: “Working for asknet AG and expanding our international e-commerce activities has always been extremely interesting and fulfilling. This and the great employees, with their dedication to the company, made this a difficult decision but I want to take up new challenges in future.”
asknet AG will not fill the position of COO for the time being. “Ute Imhof and myself are putting great emphasis on strengthening the entrepreneurship of our employees. asknet is taking a very forward-looking approach in this respect. Our decision not to fill the position of COO for the time being, reflects our commitment to giving our management team greater freedom also in organizational terms,” said Tobias Kaulfuss, CEO of asknet AG. “Our management board consists of e-commerce experts who have long-standing experience in designing digital business processes and many ideas as to how we can best position asknet for a successful future. I am therefore convinced that strengthening our Vice Presidents will allow us to effectively leverage our numerous new business opportunities.”
The Supervisory Board, the Executive Board and the employees of asknet AG would like to take this opportunity to thank Ute Imhof for her hard work and dedication and the essential contributions she made to the successful international development of the company. “We very much regret her leaving the company but respect her decision,” said Dr. Joachim Bernecker, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of asknet AG.
